I had no idea taking recreational drugs at the weekend for some of the best experiences in my life made me a junkie. And whilst holding down a respectable full time job too.
I should have gone Sold's route and turned to tea and scones for my highs.

Apparently I was found on the beach at Great Yarmouth reading the bible covered in my own vomit after a KAOS weekender. I also, allegedly, smashed up numerous chalets and projectile vomited over a queue of people trying to get in the garage arena.
Great days. I never dropped another purple ohm again though.

I had a laugh in my youth but I don't miss the aftermath of drugs one bit.
A couple of my mates are still paying for those days in one way or another.

I'm so lucky that drugs were not freely available back in the day. In those days, amongst the working classes, there was really a beer drinking culture and nothing else.

I've had far too many sweaty sleepless nights on a comedown than I care to remember (and lager can cause some of the worst of them). Its when you've been through it that you start to realise that you cant hit it like you did as a youngster. I used to spend days at festivals on all sorts, have two hours kip and get up and do it all again. If I tried to do that now id be in absolute pieces.
